Mark Edward Gibson

Mark Edward Gibson, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on April 8, 1970, to Marcell and Shirley Gibson in Louisville, Kentucky. Mark was an outspoken, loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He was never one to BS around, but always had a smile on his face. Mark was full of energy and never liked to sit still for too long. He was a hardworking, dedicated man who was loved by the entire community. Two of his biggest joys in life were spending time with his best friend and loving wife Trish at the Ponderosa Boat Dock on Nolin Lake, and starting his own gutter business, Gibson and Son. In his spare time, Mark enjoyed watching his UK Wildcats, going off roading, and listening to a variety of music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Marcell Gibson, and mother in law Oldie Duvall

Left to cherish his memory, Mark leaves behind his loving wife, Trish Gibson; son, Doug Gibson; daughter, Meagan Duvall; 4 grandchildren, Braxton Pearson, Kaylor Duvall, Zaylei Gibson, and Ben Gibson; 5 brothers, Paul, Sammy, Tony, Donnie, and Frog; 3 sisters, Rhonda, Tina and Lou; mother, Shirley Thompson; in laws, Sandy and David; best friend, Christopher Lewis; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Mark Edward Gibson will be held at 3 PM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 7 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023, and prior to the funeral service from 11 AM to 3 PM, at the funeral home.
