Mark Raymond Burleson, age 70, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Born to the late Robert and Betty (Beucon) Burleson, Mark was a hardworking businessman and the proud owner and operator of Burleson Insulating for more than 50 years. Through dedication, honesty, and perseverance, he built not only a successful business but also lasting friendships with those whose lives he touched along the way.

Mark embraced life with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. An avid boater and collector of all things nautical, he found joy on the water and was happiest surrounded by nature. Whether admiring plants and flowers, watching wildlife, or simply taking in the beauty of God's creation, Mark never lost his sense of wonder for the world around him.

He loved gathering with family and friends for cookouts, spending time around horses, shooting a game of pool, and never missing his weekly poker game with the same close-knit group of friends for decades. As Mark would surely tell you, poker wasn't just a game—it was a serious sport that had to be played regularly to keep your mind sharp.

Mark also enjoyed relaxing with classic action movies, especially anything featuring James Bond and the legendary 007. He was a lifelong admirer of Marilyn Monroe and faithfully watched his favorite television show, Deal or No Deal? But perhaps one of his favorite traditions was inviting friends over to experience Top Gun on his beloved surround sound system, making everyone feel as though fighter jets were soaring right overhead.

Above all, Mark treasured the people he loved. His generous spirit, quick wit, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his son, Marc Sean Burleson of Jeffersonville; his grandchildren, Jhordon Burleson and Alijah Pearl Clark; and his great-great-grandson, River Burleson.

In accordance with his wishes, Mark will be cremated.

Though his presence will be greatly missed, Mark leaves behind countless memories of laughter, friendship, adventure, and love. His family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and in the beautiful world he so deeply appreciated.
