Marjorie “Marge” Pitcher, age 83, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on May 30, 2025, at Baptist Health Floyd, with her loving family by her side. Marge was born on May 7, 1942, in New York, the daughter of the late Frederick and Pauline Martin. She dedicated 15 years of her life as a nurse in a dermatology office, where her compassion and commitment to helping others made a lasting impact on those she served. A devoted member of Covenant Life Church in Jeffersonville, Marge found great joy in her faith and her family. She treasured time spent with loved ones playing cards, working crossword puzzles, gardening and sewing. Known for her exceptional cooking and warm hospitality, she made everyone feel at home in her presence.
Despite her age, Marge was impressively tech-savvy and enjoyed playing games on her phone with her grandchildren. She had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor—even when she wasn’t trying—which brought laughter and joy to those around her. Marge’s legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pitcher; brothers, Ronnie and Dick Martin; son-in-law, David White. She is survived by her daughter, Pam White; son, Jeff Pitcher (Cheryl); sister, Mary Lou Martin; along with 5 grandchildren, Matt, Danny, Josh, Isaac, Lydia, and 4 great granddaughters. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 2-4pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
