Maggie Irene (Reney) (Nanny) Murphy,81, of Louisville returned home to Heaven on Thursday, June 23rd. Her Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Center Nunnelley Chapel on Wednesday June 29th. Visitation will be from 11-1 and her Funeral will be held at 1, with Graveside Service afterwards.
Maggie was a Trailblazer, Friend to all. She was the definition of strength, a loving Sister, an Amazing Mother, and an even better Nanny. She was a loyal John Wayne fan who saw every movie he ever made. She never missed a single episode of Hawaii Five-O, so she could see Alex O’Loughlin. In her spare time, she loved to color and sew. Most of all she made the BEST pan of homemade cornbread in the state. Her legacy will forever live on through the many lives she touched with her unconditional love. She was truly the best woman you could ever know.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna V. Milburn; and her father, Casper R. Milburn; along with her brothers and sisters we have lost along the way. Maggie is the oldest out of 13 children.
She is survived by her only child, Deborah (Danny) Knowles; and her only grandchild, Haley Knowles. She also leaves behind her beloved grand-dog, Batman Toretto Winchester Knowles, who loved her more than anything.
We love you, Nanny. Over the Moon and past the Stars.
We’ll tell you all about it when we see you again.
