Mae Elizabeth (Hoskins) Jordon

Mae Jordon of NuLu, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on September 16, 1951, to the late Charles and Betty Peak Hoskins in Louisville, Kentucky. Mae was at times a little feisty, but loved her family dearly, and was always willing to help anyone in need. She never complained and always loved to tell a good story. Mae had a huge heart for animals too, often having many out of the ordinary pets, like Charlotte the potbelly pig, B.P. the cat, or her favorite dog, Baby. In her spare time, Mae enjoyed a cold Coke to drink, reading romance novels, playing bingo, and cooking. She made the best biscuits and gravy! Mae will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Charles and Betty Hoskins, Mae is preceded in death by her loving husband, Noel Jordon; and 2 brothers, Johnny O’Neill Jr., and Eddie Hoskins.

Left to cherish her memory, Mae leaves behind her daughter, Kandy Haney (Chris); 3 grandchildren, Candice Whitmer (Michael), Courtney Haney, and C.J. Haney; 3 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Aiden, and Elijah; 3 brothers, Charles Hoskins (Karen), Kenny Hoskins (Joyce), and Bobby O’Neill (Dorothy); niece, Charlotte Adkins (Dane); nephew, Buck Hoskins (Anna); and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mrs. Mae Jordon will be held at 12 PM, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM, at the funeral home. Burial at Defoe Cemetery, 881 Cedarmore Rd, Defoe, Kentucky will follow the service.
