MaKayla Kristyne Sexton

MaKayla Kristyne Sexton, 21, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on July 23, 2024 in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on March 7, 2003 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, daughter of Christopher Perkins and Jenifer Sexton.

MaKayla was a vibrant soul whose presence lit up every room she entered. Her love for singing and dancing was a testament to her infectious zest for life. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. MaKayla’s fun loving nature was her trademark.

She cherished her family and friends and held them close to her heart. MaKayla ‘s love, laughter, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who knew her.

MaKayla was preceded in death by her son, Braylon Sexton; grandfathers, Ray Perkins and Steven Sexton; great grandparents, Papa Smurf Sexton and Georgiana Sexton. She is survived by her son, Dawson; mother, Jenifer Sexton; father, Christopher Perkins; sister, MaKynlie Sexton; brothers, Kameron Sexton, Kylen Spadie, Daryan Perkins, Caysen Perkins, grandparents, Rosemary Myers and Douglas Browning; grandmother, Donna Kleier; great grandmother, Sharon Myers; step mother, Brandi Perkins; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.

There will be a memorial visitation held on Monday August 5, 2024 from 4-7pm with service at 6pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
