Lynda Sue (Barnes) Henry

Lynda Sue Henry, 75, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on January 24, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky. Lynda’s family was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lynda was a social butterfly, and never met a stranger. She had a great sense of humor, and loved to talk and gossip on the phone for hours. In her spare time, Lynda enjoyed cheering on her UK Wildcats Basketball team, and playing some of her favorite card games like, Yahtzee, Uno, and Spades. She also loved caring for her dogs (especially Dachshund’s), watching Lifetime movies, and having a cigarette. Lynda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lynda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Henry; parents, Harold and Ada Barnes; and a sister, Sandy Jett.

Left to cherish her memory, Lynda leaves behind 2 daughters, Sonya Miller (Ralph), and Shannon Wheatley (Mike); 3 grandsons, Chris Miller (Kate), Chase Wheatley (Bree), and Ethan Wheatley (Destiny); and a host of extended family and close friends.

A memorial service for Ms. Lynda Sue Henry will be held at 6:30 PM, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Legacy Funeral Center-Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 2 PM to 6:30 PM at the funeral home. prior to the service.

The family of Ms. Henry would like to thank the staff at Signature Healthcare of South Louisville and the ICU at Norton Audubon Hospital for their exceptional care of Lynda.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Lynda’s honor to the Kentucky Humane Society.
