Lisa Marie Wade, 45, of New Albany, passed away 5:48 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026.  Lisa was a homemaker and, more importantly, a friend to many. She had a gift for making life a little more fun and a lot more memorable. Lisa loved spending time with her wonderful friends, sharing laughs, making memories, and—more often than not—having a cold Big Red in hand! She knew how to enjoy the simple things and never needed much of an excuse to have a good time.

When Lisa was enjoying some quiet time, you could usually find her with a coloring book or working on a puzzle. She was a true fan of Classic Disney, with a special place in her heart for Winnie the Pooh. She loved watching Disney movies and singing along to her favorite music, always bringing a little bit of her own joy to the moment.

Lisa was also a true water baby. A perfect day, in her mind, could easily include swimming at the lake and soaking up the peace that came from being near the water. The water gave Lisa a sense of calm and pause—a place where she could simply be, breathe, and enjoy the moments in the sun.

Lisa leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, music, Disney movies, puzzles, lake days, and countless stories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Fry, and her brother, Teddy Jr.

Lisa is survived by her loving daughters, Destiny Marie and Leaira Ann Deck; her beloved son, James “Bubby” Deck (Gloria); her adoring mother, Pamela Marie Schneider; her caring stepmother, Sandy Ross; her longtime companion, David Wayne Davis; her sisters, Julia Gomez, Misty Turner & Jackie Fry; and her grandchildren, Annabella Deck, Dillen Crocker, Eliza Crocker, and Gavin Crocker.

A memorial service celebrating Lisa’s life will be held 2PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Legacy Funeral Center – Scott Chapel (921 Main Street, Jeffersonville). Friends may visit from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

Lisa may no longer be here to sing along to her favorite songs, color outside the lines, cheer for her favorite Disney characters, or enjoy a cold Big Red with the people she loved—but her laughter, her spirit, and her love will remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

And knowing Lisa, she’s probably already found the best spot by the water, settled in with a good movie, and wondering why everyone else is taking so long to join her!
