Linda Louise Cotton, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at her home in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on May 10, 1943, to Talbert and Mildred Cotton in Louisville, Kentucky. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, and was a loving sister and aunt. Although she faced adversity throughout life, Linda turned this into great resolve, and was even a little feisty. She was never afraid to give you a little piece of her mind, but loved to give you one of her famous hugs right after. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed reading magazines, and then tearing them to shreds, listening to anything by Elvis, riding around outside in her wheelchair, and curling up with a hot coffee, and warm cookies to enjoy a book. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Talbert Cotton, and Mildred Hall; step-father, Roy Hall; 2 brothers, Larry Cotton, and Stevie Cotton; and 2 nieces, Tonya Ann Cotton, and Chrissy Cotton.
Left to cherish her memory, Linda is survived by 3 siblings, Paula Westmorland (Steve), Frankie Cotton (Helen), and Rickie Cotton (Sandy); 17 nieces and nephews, Angela, Marty, Samantha, Stephanie, Amy, Christina, Amanda D., Little Steve, Little Bill, Susan, Hannah, Chrissy, Tony, Michael, Jerry, Jaden, and Jalynn; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Ms. Linda Louise Cotton will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 2 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
