Lenore Georgiana Henry Huff, 87, of Louisville was welcomed into her heavenly home, and back into the arms of her loving husband of 67 years on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Lenore was born in Chester County, PA to Martha and Leonard Henry on August 8, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sons, Edward Jr., and Anthony; siblings, Mary, Lena, Fanny, and George; parents, Leonard and Martha; and son in law, Mark Kinsolving.
Lenore is survived by her children, Teresa (Mike), Debra, Shirley (Rick), George (Rhonda), and Ron; 14 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren she adored and spoiled every chance she found.
It was love at first sight for both Lenore and Edward, with the couple marrying on October 19, 1955, beginning their long and loving life together. Lenore was a mother to 6, but raised many young people as her own, showing those around her the joy of loving without condition or expectation by providing for and taking care of others with an open heart. She was a proud member of her community, providing support to her neighbors through meals on wheels, and home visitation to assist those who needed it. She was also an ardent political campaigner, canvasing the entire south-end with flyers and yard signs for the many judges and local officials that would seek her sound support and advice throughout the years. This lead to hers being a known and respected voice around City Hall. Lenore was a deeply spiritual woman, a devout Catholic who could weather the worst storms through prayer and her absolute faith in God. The love and joy she provided so many was infectious and will be missed by all lucky enough to have been touched by her grace.
