Lee House passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024 at the age of 87. He was born in 1936 to Tom and Virginia House, 2nd of six boys.
He graduated in 1954 from Morgan Township and went to work at General Electric where he retired from a successful career after 47 years, as an Electrical Engineer. He became a Freemason in 1964, Falls Lodge, advancing to 32nd degree in the Scottish Rite.
Lee had two wives, 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was a generous man and well loved. He loved to play cards, had a sense of humor and loved jokes and making people laugh. After he retired he loved to cook and always shared his delicious food with others. Our Pop was well esteemed and a respected member in the community. He shot straight and did not suffer fools. He leaves big shoes to fill and we will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville on Saturday, March 2 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. His funeral service will be at 1:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
