Laura Lorraine Settle

Laura Lorraine Settle, 85, passed away on June 2, 2020. Some of her passions were volunteering at Portland Christian School and attending Louisville Bats games. Laura loved spending time with her family, playing with her great-grandchildren and family gatherings.  She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle and enjoyed singing in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Settle, Sr; son, Michael Settle parents, Henry and Florence Schmidt and sister, Pat Wilson.

Laura leaves to cherish her memories, her sons, Ellis (Marie) Settle, Jr and Elmer Wayne (Donna) Settle; grandchildren, Tiffany (Terry) Hammond, Travis (Dana) Settle, William (Misty) Settle, Matt Settle and Bryan (Jetta) Settle; great-grandchildren, Conner Hammond, Kaylee Hammond, Mason Settle, Cameron Settle, Lincoln Settle, Hunter Settle, Asher Settle and Allee Settle and sisters, Alberta Kuchenbrod and Janice (Jim) Lindsey. 

Visitation will be on Monday, June 8, 2020, from 9am-1pm at Neurath & Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, KY, and a celebration of Laura’s life will begin at 1pm.

Laura will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to Portland Christian School, 8509 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40242 in honor of Laura.
