Kenneth "Steve" James

Kenneth “Steve” James, 69, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on April 11, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 3, 1954 in Jeffersonville Indiana , son of Clifton Calvin and Kathleen Marie (Halter) James. Steve retired from the City of Jeffersonville after 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, collecting Star Wars stuff, was an avid Star Trek collector, had a collection of any movie you could ask for and loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his four brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol (Broy) James; daughter, Kristi James(Charlie); son, Brent James; two sisters, Lucille Nichols, Connie Coffey(Douglas); 5 grandchildren, Kasey, BJ, Michael, Lily, Taylor; great grandchild, Garrett, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and he beloved dog, Bella.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Interim Hosparus for their outstanding care.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 10-1:30pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
