Kenith "Mac" Ray Collins, age 63, passed away on February 20, 2025. He was born on March 2, 1961, to the late James Collins and Ethel Polly Collins. Mac worked for 34 years at Armstrong Relocation Moving Company and enjoyed watching football and college baseball. He had a passion for collecting sports cards, going to flea markets, and took great pride in mowing the grass and yard work.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Sylvester Collins, Elmer Collins, Thomas Collins, James Collins, Paul Collins, and Vernon Collins; his sisters, Judy Sadler, Thelma West, and Bessie DeWitt; his two bonus sons, Gary Scott Gilbert and Dale Wayne Clary, Jr.; and his grandson, Kevin Wayne Clary.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Jean Collins; two bonus children, Latricia Clary and Steven Clary; a full bucket of grandchildren and an almost full bucket of great-grandchildren; his sisters, Catherine Gibson, Lois Smith (Hal), and Shirley Christmas; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Izzy and Jake. He also loved his 1988 Ford Ranger.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, KY 40203. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM. Per the family’s wishes, cremation will follow.
Mac will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
