Kathy Burgin

Kathy Burgin, 70, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on June 12, 2024 at Baptist Floyd Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Monday and after 9 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Kathy was born on March 5, 1954 in Burkesville, KY to the late Wes and Beatrice Vaughn. She retired after 33 years as a Certified Nurses Aide.  She loved to travel and spoil her grandkids, and she was active in the Southern Indiana Special Olympics and Team Jeff Wrestling.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Henry Burgin; daughters, Patty Munoz (Franky), and Kathy "Sissy" Stofel (Donavon); son, Henry Burgin (Tammy); brother, Johnny Vaughn (Maria); grandchildren, Brad Burgin (Jessie), Trystan Burgin, Dylan Burgin, John Burgin, Heather Burgin, Amber Stofel, Danielle Burgin, and Matthew Munoz; along with great-grandchildren, Arlo and Ivy Burgin and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Ray Burgin; and sister, Rosetta Vaughn.

Memorial contributions can be made to Team Jeff Wrestling.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
