Karen Sue McDaniels, age 53, of Louisville, KY, passed away on December 3, 2024. She was born on November 27, 1971, to the late Perry William McDaniels, Sr., and Barbara Goldsmith McDaniels.
Karen dedicated her life to caring for others, working at a daycare and Dixie Dry Cleaners. She was a proud University of Louisville fan who lit up the room with her love for playing bingo, keno, and karaoke. Karen loved trips to the lake with her best friend, Trish, and found her greatest joy in spending time with her precious grandchildren. Her favorite color, red, reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Schmidt; and the father of her children, Johnny Singleton.
She is survived by her loving sons, Jonathan Singleton (Autumn) and Robert Singleton (Angel); her beloved grandchildren, Delanie Singleton and Damien Singleton; her brothers, Perry McDaniels, Jr. and Kenneth Dale McDaniels (Robin); nephew, Steven Schmidt and her three adored dogs, Wolfie, Daisy, and Coco; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, KY. Cremation will follow. Visitation will take place from 11 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Karen's memory will live on through the love of her family and friends and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
