Julia Ann Wilkerson

Julia Ann Wilkerson, 83, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, in Corydon, Indiana. She was born on February 1, 1942 in Louisville, Ky ,daughter of the late Sterling and Mary Barton.

Julia dedicated many years of her life working in the cafeteria for local public schools, where she was known for her warm smile and caring spirit toward students and staff alike. A faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in New Albany, she found joy and strength in her faith and community.

Julia was a creative and loving presence in the kitchen—her meals were prepared with heart, and she was always ready to share friendly, practical advice with her family. She loved tending to her flowers and had a special gift for decorating her home with seasonal flair, making every holiday a memorable and beautiful occasion.

Julia is survived by her children; Mike Wilkerson(Camille), Mark Wilkerson(Yolanda), Matthew Wilkerson(Vanessa), Maury Wilkerson(Janet), Teresa Wilkerson-Nally(Mike), Melissa Snodgrass(Shelby), Jennifer Reed(Michael); brother, David Barton; sister, Lisa(Bobby); along with 28 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and there will be a graveside held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 1:30pm at New Albany National Cemetery, 1943 Ekin Ave, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
