Judith Sue "Judy" Sharp

Judith Sue “Judy” Sharp, age 76, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, daughter of the late Dormond and Clara (Gibbs) Schoolcraft, was born August 1, 1947, in Madison, Indiana. She passed peacefully to live a life of eternity on April 5, 2024. On November 7, 2000, she was united in marriage to Timothy Ray Sharp of Bullitt County, Kentucky. They shared 25 wonderful years together.

Through her working years, she dedicated employment to Shaheen Office Supply, the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, and the Clark County Auditor and Clerk’s offices. She always enjoyed greeting customers with her infectious smile and serving her community while in the City-County Building, meeting new people and helping them. Her biggest joy, however, was spending time with her three children and eight grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments and supporting them at their sporting events and school functions. She loved vacationing at any beach, the scent of lavender, and the color purple. Her fur babies, Sadie and Chloe, were her beloved companions. She was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority and the First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. She was a loyal fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and the Louisville Cardinals.

Her life will be cherished by her children David Rusk (Tina) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lori Muncy (Brandon) of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Tony Rusk (Jennifer) of Olney, Maryland, her grandchildren Alan Rusk (Meghan), Jennifer Rusk, Troy Rusk, Austin Muncy, Aaron Muncy, Lauren Muncy, Evan Rusk, and Nate Rusk.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jon Michael Schoolcraft, Sr. of Madison, Indiana on March 28, 2022, and Robert E. Schoolcraft of Marion, Indiana on December 4, 2005. Judy’s family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Special Olympics in her honor.

Visitation will be at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN on Friday, April 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with her memorial service at 6:00 pm. Memories of Judy and messages of support for the family can be shared at www.LegacyKentuckiana.com.
