Judith Lynn Acord

Judith (Judy) Lynn Acord, age 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on August 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late David K. Brown and Helen  Sloop Brown.
A member of the Life Apostolic Church in Louisville, dedicated homemaker, talented seamstress, and gifted artist, Judy had a deep love for her family and the simple joys of life. She cherished time spent at the family farm and enjoyed the fun of family gatherings. Her family was her heart, and she treasured the memories made with her loved ones.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Earl L. Acord, Jr., and her children: Cindy Towles (Ron), Julie Seidenfaden (Mike), Troy Acord (Heather), and Amy Smith (David). Her legacy lives on through her large family which includes a bucket full of grandchildren: 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will always hold her close in their hearts.
A funeral service to honor Judy’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Legacy Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, KY 40215, with grave side service to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Judy’s memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion to family that will never be forgotten.
