Joseph A Pangburn passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Joe was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 1, 1951 to Thomas and Mary Ellen Pangburn. He was the 3rd of 6 children. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and attended New Albany High School.
Joe loved any sporting event, especially Alabama football and New York Yankees baseball. He also coached several youth teams in Clark County. Joe never met a stranger and was the local ESPN analyst.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Stephanie McKnight.
He is survived by his children, Kelley Kinnaird (Sean Martin) and Craig Pangburn (Julie Deason); sisters, Ellen Rogers (Jim), Mary Beth Sagebiel (Kirk), and LeeAnn Kemmeling (Drew); brothers, Kevin Pangburn (Mylea McFelea), and Phil Pangburn; grandchildren, Kayla Kinnaird, J.C. Kinnaird, Joseph Pangburn, Connor Pangburn, and Thea Mullins; great granddaughter, Delaney Kinnaird; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family wishes to thank PAM Rehab and Hospice for their loving care to Joe.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street – Jeffersonville. Funeral services in honor of his life will be celebrated at the conclusion of receiving hours, 3 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center. The family will honor Joe’s wish for cremation following services at the funeral home.
