John D. Lehrmitt Obituary
John D. Lehrmitt, born June 4, 1961, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 28, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of a life well lived.
John was a one-of-a-kind person whose creativity, talent, and sense of style touched everyone who knew him. He had a deep love for music and found great joy in playing guitar and performing with bands throughout his life. Music was more than a hobby to John—it was a part of who he was and a way he expressed himself.
A gifted and artistic soul, John had an eye for beauty and a true appreciation for fashion. He took pride in his appearance and was always dressed to perfection, reflecting the individuality and creativity that made him so special.
John was a proud valedictorian of his class at Warren County High School, an accomplishment that reflected his intelligence, determination, and dedication. Yet, beyond his many talents and accomplishments, John will be remembered most for the love he gave to his family.
He cherished his wife, Polly, with whom he shared 34 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was built on love, companionship, and countless memories that will remain forever treasured. John’s family was at the heart of his life, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
John is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Polly; his mother, Dixie Lehrmitt; his brother, Bryan Goad; his aunt, Alice Perry; his brother-in-laws, Gary Hall and Walter Napier; sisters-in-laws, Mary Drue Clark (Donald), Mildred Sue Clark, Martha Lou Frakes, and Sally Napier; many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts, and his beloved cat, Kelly. John and Kelly were very lucky to have found each other.
In keeping with John’s wishes no services are scheduled and burial will be private.
