John Albert Green, Jr.

John Albert Green, Jr, 72, of New Albany, IN passed away on December 29, 2019.  He was known to his friends as “Johnny Junk” and never met a stranger.  John loved watching cowboy movies and listening to his favorite oldies.   He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Albert Green, Sr and Mary Louise Stinson and sisters, Judy Davis and Patricia Herron.

John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Anderson; daughters, Tracie Tarrance, Patricia (Gerald) Garbe and Mary Anderson; grandchildren, Sheri Gray, Donna Gray, Adam Bennett, Jr and Jonathan Anderson; great-granddaughter, Zaylei Mitchell; son-in-law, Adam Bennett, Sr and sister, Tammy Wallace.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2020, from 12pm-8pm at Neurath & Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, KY.  A celebration of John’s life will be Monday, January 6, 2020, beginning at 1pm at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY.
