Joel Dwain Cook, 69, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on August 1, 2024 at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon, Indiana. He was born on April 1, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late Chester Lee Cook & Norma Jean Kinkade.
Joel retired after 30 years of dedicated service from Cook Roofing Company , where he was owner & operator and a master at his profession. Joel was also a United States Air Force veteran and had a passion for fishing, golfing and loved to socialize with family and friends. He was an avid gambler at the track and was …. as they say…. ready to “Place Your Bet”. Joel loved watching football, especially The Dallas Cowboys take the field, but most of all he loved and cared for his family.
He is survived by his son, Joel Cook(Julie); siblings, Rita Kallembach, Bill Cook(Amy), Vanessa Minton(Keith); step mom, Jean Cook; grandson, Caleb Cook; along with nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation held on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 2-6pm with service to follow at 6pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
