Joann Willoughby, 84 of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026.      

Daughter of the late John and Imogene (Nickell) Coomes, Joann was a homemaker and a woman who treasured her family. She lived life in her own way, laughed often, and made memories that her family will carry with them for years to come.  Joann was one of a kind—a “wild woman” with a big personality, a quick laugh, and an unmistakable love for having a good time. She knew how to enjoy life, and she had a way of bringing laughter and fun wherever she went. For Joann, if she was laughing, life was good.  She also loved animals, especially dogs of every kind!

Those who knew Joann will remember her for her spirited personality, her laughter, and the fun she brought into the lives of those around her. She was the kind of woman who left an impression—and plenty of stories to tell. Her laughter may be quiet now, but the joy she brought to others will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved her.

Joann was preceded in death by her devoted friend & ex-husband, ToJo Southwood; her beloved son, John Southwood; and infant sister, Phyllis.

Joann will be deeply missed by her loving sister, Linda Durbin of Clarksville; nephew, Bob Ferrill; and several other nieces and nephews.

Joann will be cremated according to her wishes, with no formal services.
