Jill Abigayle Spanyer

Jill Abigayle Spanyer, 33, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on June 22, 1990, to the late Vincent Spanyer and Gina (Trayner) Garcia in Louisville, Kentucky. Jill was very strong-willed; she had overcome death many times including surviving a traumatic brain injury back in 2015. She was a fighter, trusting, giving, and passionate. She enjoyed a wide range of music and had a love for the band Slipknot. Jill loved animals, especially her furry companion Salem. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jill is preceded in death by her father Vincent Spanyer; grandparents Robert and Ruby Spanyer, Ronald Trayner; her uncles Andy Trayner, and Joe Spanyer.

Left to cherish her memory, Jill leaves behind her son Jeremy Devore; her mother Gina Garcia (Arturo); little brother William (Micaiah) Garcia; grandmother Sharon Rector; her beloved cat Salem; aunts; uncles and a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Boulevard - Louisville. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home after the visitation at 7p.m.
