Janet Sue (Shelton) Sprague

Janet Sue Sprague (Shelton), 80, passed away, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 with her loving family by her side. 

Janet was born in Edinburgh, Indiana on March 25, 1941 to the late John G. Shelton and Vina (Streeval) Shelton. She was a retired manager for Goodwill Industries and a member of West Maple Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by the love of her life, for over 59 years, her husband, James A. Sprague; brother, John G. Shelton; and a sister, Mildred Serena Shelton. 

Survivors left to cherish her memory two sons, James A. "Tony" Sprague (Vadra), Larry R. Sprague (Mel); four daughters, Yolanda Roberts (Jeff), Jamie Hampton (Charlie), Lisa Sprague (Pete), Mary Miller (Ken); brother, David M. Shelton (Diane); nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. 

Visitation will be held, Sunday, November 7, 2021,  from Noon-7:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Center- Scott Chapel, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Funeral services will be held immediately after the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held Monday, November 8, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Eastern Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
