James “Todd” Breaden, 58, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at his home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. He was born on May 6, 1965, to John Edward and Caroline Avone Breaden in Louisville, Kentucky. Todd cared for his family deeply, and was a loving dad, brother, and papaw. He was a mechanic at heart, and could always be found out in the garage working on cars. Todd was the life of the party too, and always enjoyed hanging out and having fun until the early morning. He never met a stranger either, and would give the shirt of his back to someone in need. Whether it was hanging out, hunting or fishing, Todd just enjoyed the outdoors. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to all types of music, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, and traveling to Montana and Cancun. Todd will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Todd is preceded in death by his parents, John Edward Breaden Jr., and Caroline Avone Ward Breaden.
Left to cherish his memory, Todd is survived by his son, Evan Breaden (Elizabeth); 3 grandchildren, Braxton Alexander Breaden, Christopher, and Ashlynn; brother, Gary Breaden; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service for Mr. James “Todd” Breaden will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center-Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West to follow.
