James "Jim" B. Jackson, aged 90, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Jackson, and his parents, Lula and Clark Jackson.
James is survived by his devoted daughter, Kim Smallwood, his grandchildren, Ashley Wooten (Corey) and Cody Smallwood (Abbie), and four great-grandchildren, Kason, Charlie, Lennon, and Collins.
James had a passion for the Kentucky Derby, from collecting Derby glasses, pins, and programs to betting on horses and attending Churchill Downs. He shared many joyful moments with family and friends through this love.
In addition to his love for the Derby, James was a wonderful and well-known bowler in his community. He spent many evenings at bowling alleys across Southern Indiana, where he made countless friends and memories.
James will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to family, and his nurturing ways. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for James will be at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville on Friday, August 9 from 11:30 to 1:30 pm with his funeral service at 1:30. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
