James Lee Rogers II

James “ Jim” Lee Rogers, 76, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky.  Jim was born on June 12, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late James Rogers Sr. and Opha (Watson) Richardson. Jim leaves behind a legacy as a dedicated employee of LG&E, where he devoted many years before retirement. He loved fishing, bowling and softball activities that brought him great joy throughout his life. Jim was an avid IU fan and cheered passionately for his team. He also loved and cared for his family very much.

He is survived by his sons, John Rogers(Amanda), James Lee Rogers III (BJ Durham); brother, Walter Richardson; two grandchildren, John Jr. and Alexis Guardado; and a niece, Elizabeth Richardson.

There will be a visitation held on Friday May 3, 2024 from 10-1pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial will follow at Kraft Graceland Memorial Cemetery.
