James R. Evans

James “Jim” Evans,93, passed away on April 23, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1928 to the late Reece Evans and Helen Helinger. Jim is also preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Evans; brother, Jack; and daughter-in-law, Patsy. Jim was active in the Masonic Lodge and the Tri-County Shrine Club, having served as Master of the Lodge. He had a career with the Conrail Railroad Company working there for over 34 years.

He is survived by his children, Chris (Cathy) Evans, Sharon (Leon) Ritter, Jayme Evans, and Patrick (Tammie) Evans; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; stepchildren Shelia Speigelhalder and Greg Higdon.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, April 28 at 1:00 at Legacy Funeral Home. Visitation will take on Tuesday, April 27th from 4-8pm, as well as Wednesday prior to service from 11-1.
