Jalen Tyrone Baker, 23, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2024, in New Albany, Indiana. Born on May 31, 2001, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Jalen was the beloved son of Dewanda Hunter and Tyrone Baker.
Jalen was a former employee of NYX Parts Distribution, where he was known as a dedicated and hardworking individual. His passions extended far beyond his work; he loved music, rapping, and creating videos that showcased his vibrant creativity. An avid basketball fan, Jalen admired Kevin Durant, "KD," and spent countless hours watching the sport he loved.
Above all, Jalen cherished time with his family. His warmth, humor, and music left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Jalen was preceded in death by his sister, Tionne’ Marie Baker and grandparents, William and Carrie Baker. He is survived by his mother, Dewanda Hunter; father, Tyrone Baker; brothers, Shawn Boyd, Tyrone Baker Jr.; grandmother, Desiree Hunter along with many cousins.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 form 11-2pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
