Henry Wallace Burgin, age 74, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories with those who knew him best.
Henry was an avid outdoorsman who found his greatest peace in nature, whether casting a line on a quiet morning or spending long days hunting in the woods. He also enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie of time spent at the casino. No matter where he was, Henry valued the simple joys of life and the company of those around him.
Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His presence was a steady and comforting one, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; his son, Joe Burgin; his granddaughter, Heather; and his siblings, Doc, Ronnie, and Bonnie.
Henry is survived by his loving children, Henry Burgin (Tammy), Kathy Stofel (Donavon), and Patty Munoz (Franky); his cherished grandchildren, Brad (Jessie), Dylan, Danielle (Tess), John, Amber (Ethan), Matthew, and Trystan; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville. A funeral service in honor of Henry’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
