Glenn Edward Webb, age 89, went on to be with Jesus on Monday, August 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and boundless love. Glenn was a man who lived his life devotedly to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, embodying the essence of selflessness and compassion in every aspect of his life.
Throughout his years, Glenn's unwavering faith was the cornerstone of his existence. As a deacon at Harmony Baptist and later at Carlisle Baptist Churches, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to the service of his congregation and community. His commitment to the Gospel was evident in his countless acts of kindness, often placing the needs of others before his own. His dedication was a testament to his deep-seated belief and love for his faith.
Glenn was also a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Christine Webb, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of over 28 years. Their journey together was marked by shared passions, including a love for old country music, cherished moments at the Shepherdsville Country Music Show, participation in the Ken Bowl bowling league, and friendly church fellowship in dart ball. Their mutual affection for the Eastern Kentucky Mountains, particularly the picturesque area around Pikeville, provided them with countless treasured memories.
Christine and Glenn's relationship was a shining example of true partnership, built on mutual respect, affection, and a shared sense of joy. Their love story, enriched by common interests and a deep spiritual connection, was a source of inspiration to all who knew them.
Glenn's family will forever be grateful for the light of Christ that he allowed to shine through him. His teachings, particularly his lesson of "This Little Light of Mine," will continue to resonate in their hearts and guide their paths.
Glenn Edward Webb's legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the faith he exemplified, and the love he shared. He is remembered with profound gratitude and deep affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
