Gladys Louise (Schanie) Miller

Gladys Louise Miller of Louisville passed away on April 18, 2024. She was 99. Gladys was born on December 12, 1924. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Gladys was a devoted Christian, and longtime member of Beechmont Baptist Church.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Tilda Schanie; husband, Joseph Miller Sr.; son, Stephen Miller; son-in-law, Wayne Thomas; sister, Elsie Weaver; and 3 brothers, Raymond, Irvin and Kermit Schanie.

Left to cherish her memory, Gladys is survived by her children, Joe Miller (Kathy), Bruce Miller (Barbara), and Suzanne Thomas; and loved by her grandchildren, Jennifer Isaac, Kelly McAllister, Craig Miller, Justin Thomas, Laurie Keckhaver; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mrs. Gladys Louise Miller will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service. Private burial at Resthaven Memorial Park will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2024.
