With hearts broken and spirits heavy, we share the sudden and devastating loss of Ginger Sue Holcomb, age 41, who was tragically taken from this world far too soon. Ginger’s vibrant presence and her youthful energy, undeniable spunk, and the sight of her confidently cruising the streets of Louisville on her beloved moped, which brought light and laughter to countless lives. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and embraced every moment spent with her family and friends.
Ginger had a rare gift for making people feel seen, loved, and understood. Her smile was quick, her humor contagious, and her heart immeasurably generous. Whether she was spending time with those she cherished or simply enjoying everyday adventures, Ginger’s spirit radiated joy. Her family and community will forever remember her as a free soul who never hesitated to be authentically herself.
Ginger is survived by those who adored her: her loving mother, Tina Holcomb; her father, Jerry Holcomb; her devoted sisters, Angie Webb and Misty Webb (Bud Graham); her best friends, Markeith Towns and Tony, who shared in her laughter and life’s many stories. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Alexus, Matthew, Haley, Fat-Fat, Shawn, and Chase; her four great-nephews, her beloved dog, Emma, all of whom brought Ginger tremendous joy and pride.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, located at 1832 W. Market Street. Following the service, the family will honor Ginger’s wish for cremation.
Though her time here was heartbreakingly short, the impact she made will continue to echo through the lives of those who loved her. Ginger will be missed beyond measure and remembered always for the fire in her spirit and the love she so freely gave.
May she rest in peace, and may her memory remain a blessing to all who knew her.
