Gerald Joseph "Jerry" Culver 62, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2024 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born to Bernard and Juanita Culver in Louisville, Kentucky. Jerry was known for his strong will and occasional stubbornness, traits balanced by an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave, embodying a spirit of kindness that touched all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Jerry wore many hats as a mechanic, plumber, and handyman. His cleverness and wealth of knowledge gained through diverse life experiences allowed him to fix just about anything, earning him admiration and respect within his community. However, his capacity for love and compassion truly defined him.
Jerry will be fondly remembered for the warmth he shared with friends and family. His love was palpable, and those fortunate enough to know him were aware of the depth of his affection. In his final act of kindness, Jerry continued his legacy of helping others by being an organ donor, displaying his dignity, strength, and unwavering love for those in need.
He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of compassion that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Juanita Culver; brothers, Johnny and Buddy Culver; Sisters, Vickie Lane, and Patsy Culver.
Left to cherish his memory, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Christina Keith; son, Jay Culver; Companion, Pam Montgomery; Grandchildren, Brianna, Brenon, Tracey, and Steven; Brothers, Butch Hutton, and Billy Mclarney; Sisters, Barbara Gray, Bernadine Kennell, and Mary Woodard; and a host of family, including many nieces and nephews, Pam's children, and friends.
A funeral service for Mr. Jerry Culver will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky, with burial to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in New Haven, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 12 PM to 7PM, and prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the funeral home.
