Geneva Badgett

Geneva Badgett, 89, of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 25, 2025. She was born in Glendale, Kentucky, to the late Virgil George Patrick and Blanche Rittenberry Boyd.  Geneva was a devoted and loving caregiver who found joy in watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats and playing bingo. She had a deep love for red roses, which brought her happiness throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Hubert Badgett, and her children, Belinda Badgett and Terry Badgett, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike Badgett (Karen), Debbie Wooten, Rhonda Riley (Jimmy), and Jack Badgett (Vicky). She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geneva is survived by her sisters, Lois Carter, Nelcida Miller, and Yvonne Sims.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Legacy Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, KY 40215, with burial to follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11 AM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Geneva will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
