Gary Allen Same

Gary Allen Same was born on April 24, 1961, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Clyde Same Jr. and Alma (Prinz) Same.  He graduated from Jeffersonville High School and later obtained a
certificate from a trade school designed to assist handicapped individuals in preparing for the workforce. This education helped him secure employment throughout his life. Gary was dedicated to his work and found contentment and joy in his career. He worked for many years at Laughner’s Cafeteria. After the cafeteria closed, he worked at Walmart until he took early retirement.

Gary was generally quiet until engaged in conversations about his interests. He had a variety of interests that enriched his life, most of which he did with family. He loved being outdoors, especially
working with his Dad on lawn equipment and cutting grass, which he later turned into a source of income. He also enjoyed going for drives, listening to music—particularly oldies, classic rock, and country. Other activities included walking the family dog, attending auto racing events, participating in family dinners and outdoor festivals, and visiting Fort Knox. He especially cherished celebrating holidays, with Christmas being a favorite, and attending church with his parents.
Gary Allen Same passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2025, at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Same Jr and Alma Same, as well as his sister Gladys Same. He is survived by his nephew, Brad Joseph Andrasko and Brad’s spouse, Stephanie Andrasko.

**Graveside Services will be held 1PM on Thursday. December 4, 2025 Walnut Ridge Cemetery, officiated by Brad Andrasko.

Friends may visit from 11 AM until service time at Scott Legacy Funeral Center (921 Main Street, Jeffersonville).
