Edward Phillip Bartley Sr.

Edward P. Bartley Sr., 67, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on April 19, 1955, to the late Joseph and Carolyn Bartley in Louisville, Kentucky. Edward was a man of few words and loved his family dearly. He enjoyed spending time outside riding his Harley, hunting squirrels in the backyard, and keeping his lawn and bushes looking good. In his spare time, Edward could be found playing 7 card stud, listening to his favorite classic Rock, especially Bob Segar, and watching NASCAR, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, or cheering on his UK Wildcats. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Joseph and Carolyn Bartley, Edward is preceded in death by his loving wife, Delphie Bartley; and 3 brothers, David Bartley, Joseph Bartley, and Roger Bartley.

Left to cherish his memory, Edward leaves behind his 2 sons, Darryl Bartley (Andrea), and Edward Bartley Jr. (Christina); 4 siblings, Steve Bartley, Lynn Bartley, Pam Heil (Danny), and Chris Bartley; 4 grandchildren, Autumn Fox, Nathan Grundy, Katelyn Bartley (Jacob), and Amber Bartley (Bryson); great grandchild, Heni Fox; best friend, Mike Solomon (Lisa); and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Edward P. Bartley Sr., will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Legacy Funeral Center – Nunnelley Chapel, 4327 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4 PM to 8 PM, and prior to the service from 11 PM to 12 PM, at the funeral home. Burial at St. Stephens Cemetery will follow the funeral service.
