Obituary

Edna Mae Ragsdale, 100, passed away on April 21, 2023, in Westchester, Ohio. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 23, 1923, to the late Edward and Rachel Koerner. Edna attended school, and was an active member of South Louisville Christian Church, during her time in Louisville. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She married Norman L. Ragsdale before WWII.  They were blessed with two daughters, Marsha Gale (Anthony) Cox and Susan Kay (Michael) McSwain; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family lived on 416 E. Oak Street over Norman’s Chiropractic office.  In 1962, Edna and Norman built a house on 1311 Tycoon Way.  After Norman died, Edna continued living there until 2013.  Edna then moved to Hamilton, Ohio to be closer to Susan and her family members living in that area. Edna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, Edna wished for memorial donations to be directed to missionary C. Y. Kim c/o Lifeway Christian Church, 780 Lebanon Street, Monroe, Ohio 45050.
