Donna Rae King

Donna Rae King, 86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on March 19, 2025. She was born on March 30, 1938, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond Chapman and Dorothy Densford.

Donna was a devoted homemaker and caregiver who took great pride in nurturing her family. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support were the foundation of her home. At the core of her being was a woman whose faith guided her in performing many charitable acts of giving to the many foundations and charities she held dear to her heart.

In her leisure time, Donna found joy in knitting and crocheting, often creating beautiful handmade pieces for her loved ones. She was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, and she spent countless hours solving puzzles and playing games on her iPad. Donna's sharp mind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald King; her brother, Brian Chapman.

She is survived by her children; Debbie King, Kenneth King, Diane Shewmaker(Joe), Richard King(Lanessa); sister, Gail Bruner; brother, William “Billy” Chapman(Rose); grandchildren, Kendra, Jason, Jarrod, Amy, Aaron, Amanda.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 4-8pm at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Service will be on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 10:30am with more visitation before from 9-10:30am
