Delphia Lee (Wilson) Parks

Delphia Lee Wilson Parks, 100, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Park Terrace. She was a native of Grayson County, Kentucky, and was born on May 23, 1923, to the late Henry and Emma Hardy Wilson in Hawesville, Kentucky. Delphia was Baptist by faith, and the loving wife of the late Shelton Parks. She was a dedicated former employee at Carton Craft for over 43 years. Delphia was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and ballroom dancing. Delphia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Henry and Emma Wilson, Delphia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Shelton Parks.

Left to cherish her memory, Delphia is survived by her son, Bobby Parks (Dean); grandson, Kevin Parks; great granddaughter, Destinee Parks; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.

A funeral service for Mrs. Delphia Parks will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Legacy Funeral Center – Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 4 PM to 8 PM, at the funeral home, and prior to the service beginning at 11 AM. Burial at Richland Cemetery will follow the service.
