Delorse Jean Battle

Delorse Jean Battle, age 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 26, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1954, to the late John Cox and Margie Cox.

Delorse was a devoted housewife who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She especially loved sitting on the porch with her beloved wiener dog, Daniel. Known for her great sense of humor and lively spirit, she cherished spending time with friends and enjoying a good drink and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Tommy Dupin and Jonathan Dupin.

Delorse is survived by her children: Rod Dupin, Roy Dupin, Shawn Dupin, Angel Dupin, and Heaven Dupin; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, KY 40203, on Thurday, September 11 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday, September 12 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The funeral service will follow on Friday, September 12 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with cremation to follow.
