Debbie Houk Obituary

Debbie Kathleen Houk, 62, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2024.

Born on April 1, 1962, in Jeffersonville, Debbie dedicated her life to serving others, retiring from Kindred Healthcare after 34 years as a compassionate and skilled nurse. Her heart for people extended beyond her career, as she continued to care for others in every aspect of her life.

She attended Eastside Christian Church, Debbie found joy in dancing, skating, and the simple pleasures of life. She loved nothing more than spending her evenings indulging in her favorite reality TV shows and spending time with her loving family.  Her enthusiasm for sports ran deep—she was an avid supporter of the Kentucky Wildcats, cheering them on through every season. Debbie was also a passionate Trump fan, never shy about sharing her views and celebrating her beliefs.

Though she loved her church, her TV shows, her family, and her Wildcats, it was her two beloved fur babies, Baxter and Bailey, who brought her the most joy. Her deep affection for them was known by all, and they were cherished companions throughout her life.

Debbie will be remembered for her kind spirit, lively personality, and unwavering love for the things and people she held dear.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Norma Boardman; sister, Gina Boardman; brother, Harvey Boardman.
