David Scott Hackworth, 27, of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 13, 2020.
He was born on April 12, 1993, in Walnut Creek, CA. He was a 2011 graduate of North Oldham High School and an Eagle Scout. Through the Eagle Scout program, he was awarded a full academic scholarship to the University of Louisville.
At the time of David’s passing, he was employed by the St. Matthews Kroger where he had many friends and was a hard working and valued member of both the Dairy {Lead} and most recently the Produce Department on the frontline of the Covid-19 Pandemic. He enjoyed computer gaming, comedies, rummy, music, roller coasters, camping, hiking and water skiing.
He was kind, funny, sensitive, intelligent, affectionate and handsome. He was keenly aware of the tumultuous social, political and economic times in which he lived.
David is survived by his first and only love, Kayleigh Clark; his fur baby, Cassidy; brother, Grant; father, David; mother, Laura (Duane Reynolds) Hackworth; grandparents, Bill and Judy Crown and Patricia Hackworth; aunt and uncle, Dr. and Mrs. Michael Windland and cousins, Rachel and Rebekah.
David will be terribly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
