David "Day Day" Baker Obituary

David “Day Day” Baker, 64, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on November 17, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 18, 1957 in Jeffersonville, Indiana son of the late Ralph and Daisy Mae (Ford) Baker.  Day Day retired from Kitchen Kompact after many years of dedicated service. He attended several churches in Jeffersonville and enjoyed playing corn hole and was an avid I.U. fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, La’Tisha Washington; son-in-law, Ronald Watson; brothers, Ralph Waldo Baker Jr. (Mousy), Johnny Ben Robinson, Willis; sisters, Eddie Mae Claycomb (Beth), Darlene Gary, Lisa Fountain. Day Day is survived by his daughters, Sheliah Colbath, Sherita Watson, Sheresa Colbath; son-in-law Joe Washington; siblings, Winston Baker (Carolyn), Darla Baker, Robert Baker; his best friend, Derek Harvey; along with 8 grandchildren;  David Watson, Daniel Watson, J'Mareon Colbath, Jeramiah Colbath, Shy'anna Colbath Kamryrn Stinson, Kendall Washington, Joe Washington IV

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 11-1pm with service to follow at Indiana Ave. Missionary Baptist Church located at 1501 Thomas V. Bryant Drive, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
