David Dewayne Royse, Sr.

David “Duck” DeWayne Royse, Sr. born November 9th, 1943 passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2024.  David known to all as Duck was a cross country truck driver by profession. He loved to read his Bible and was a devout Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Viola (Stotts) Royse; a sister Yvonne Keeton; bothers William and John Royse; a son William Herbert and a grandson Brandon Royse; great grandson Brennin Royse. 

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, David (Terri) and Jonathan Royse; a sister Beverly Craig; grandsons Joshua (Reyna) and Aaron (Kaila) Royse: great grandchildren, Aria, Brandon and Emoree Royse; and several nieces and nephews and extended family. 

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Center - Schoppenhorst Chapel, 1832 W. Market Street. Funeral services will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

The family kindly asks for donations to be made to Legacy Funeral Center to offset the costs of funeral expenses.
