David Hillary Clark, Jr., 49, of Louisville, passed away on April 8, 2025. Born on March 20, 1976, to David Hillary Clark, Sr. and the late Sandra Kay Hert, David lived a life full of passion and adventure. He worked as a salvage collector, a role that aligned with his love for collecting salvage and scrap of all kinds. David also enjoyed fishing and loved every moment of life, embracing each day with a sense of purpose and a heart full of joy.
He is survived by his father, David Hillary Clark, Sr. (Diane); his children, David Dwayne Clark, Sr. (Kristen), Hannah Lynn Nichole Clark, and Megan Miller; his brothers, Joseph Clark, Douglas Hert, David Adams and Charles Pepper, Jr.; and his sister, Tina McKenney (Chris) He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jordan D. Ellis, David D. Clark, Jr., Dayten Clark, and Nataleigh Lynae Lucy Clark; as well as his "bonus daughter," Candace Miller; the mother of his children, Shannon Billiter; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Teresa and John Singleton; his best friend, John David Lee; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Adams.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, and from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel Funeral Home, 1832 West Market Street, Louisville, KY 40215. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 16, with cremation to follow.
David will be remembered for his generosity, adventurous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He lived fully and without regret, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
