Darrik Mandall Freeman, age 45, born July 24, 1979, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, passed away on
October 2, 2024. Darrik worked as a groundskeeper for Jefferson County Public Schools and was a huge
football fan, especially devoted to his favorite team, the Raiders. He is now reunited with his beloved
Mamaw, who passed away on August 9, 2021.
Darrik is survived by his loving mother, Frances Freeman, his daughter, Keiara Freeman, and his son, Lil
Darrik Freeman, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory. He was
preceded in death by his brother, Mark Anthony, and his Mamaw and Papaw Freeman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 1 PM at the Legacy Schoppenhorst Chapel,
1832 W. Market St., Louisville, KY 40203, with burial to follow at St. Stevens Cemetery. Visitation will
take place from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
