Daniel Lyndon Waddell, 56, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed on Friday July 2, 2021.. He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on February 20, 1965. He was the son of Donna (Batterson) Waddell and the late Charles Lyndon Waddell. Daniel worked for Richard Scales in Sellersburg, Indiana for 22 years.
He was a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church and a United States Air Force veteran. He loved to write poetry and short stories throughout his life. He dedicated his life’s work to the Boy Scouts of America and the mission of Scouting, he served as the Scoutmaster of Troop 4149 in Jeffersonville and volunteered hundreds of hours to the care and improvement of Tunnel Mill Scout Reservation in Charlestown, Indiana.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Stephanie (Merkl) Waddell; daughter, Danniell (Jeremy) Case; sons, Charles and Josh Waddell; mother, Donna Waddell; sister, Lynne (Jeff) Schafer along with two grandchildren, Lorelei and Grayson Case.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 1-6pm with service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Tunnel Mill Scout Reservation at a date to be announced in the coming weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the estate for expenses and donation to associations related to the Boy Scouts of America.
